- "I Will Not Be Silenced"-We were shocked (but unsurprised) @ the news of a noose being hung on the office door of Columbia Professor, Madonna Constatine.

- Don Imus gets his show back. Yes, there has been much talk of the habitual line stepper hitting radiowaves once again. But this time producers are kicking around the bright idea of adding a black co-host to legitimize his Imus' nonsense. Great idea. BGR nominates Dr. Michael Eric Dyson to keep Imus in check.

- MICHAEL...Why? Why is it men named Michael have such a tough break time with U.S. media? Or could it be that when people of color are put into the mainstream spotlight, there is a double standard applied to them? Have these men been villianized by U.S. media far more than necessary? Or have they been editorialized and set aside as black sheep in our own minds despite the strides they have made? The evidence is right before your own eyes. You be the judge.

- Queen Latifah= "Soul"ed out? Someone please explain to BGR how we went from here:
to here:
Is no one else peeping the slow but steady watering down of our once ride or die female heroine Queen Lah? She went from punching dudes in the face, to telling women which mascara to use. Does no one else see the irony of this? We can only ride that Chicago horse for so long Queen. Let's be real, the movie came out five years ago, and we're being strung along while you're on your little lounge singing tip? We want power back.

We miss the articulate yet "down the earth"ness back in the days of Livin Single, telling us to "keep ya head up what! keep ya head up that's right!"
- The ridiculous Light Skin Libra Birthday Bash in Detroit. Brown Paper Bag test anyone?

- BGR now fears that Ambi Skincare products sales will sky-rocket.

- And as a related skin care concern: Petroleum Jelly a.k.a. Vaseline slathered on your face (remember that?). Parents don't do this to your kids!
